 (02) · The Room

Built by hand

No franchise fit-out. No flat-pack gym. The coaches built this room themselves in 2020 — reclaimed timber, salvaged steel and pallet wood, raised over months of their own sweat before a single class was ever taught.

Built 2020 · By hand

Every beam carried in, cut and bolted

The mezzanine is reclaimed timber. The framing is salvaged steel. The walls went up plank by plank from pallet wood that would’ve been skipped. Nothing was bought off a showroom floor and nothing went to waste – it was earned, plank by plank. That’s the standard the room holds itself to, and the welcome it keeps open to everyone.

Reclaimed timber mezzanine built by the Aontach coaches
The mezzanine and floor are built from reclaimed timber — sourced, cut and finished by the coaches over months of weekends before the room ever opened.
The frame and supports are salvaged steel, bolted by hand. Industrial, honest, and built to take everything a hard room throws at it.
The walls went up plank by plank from pallet wood that would otherwise have been skipped — nothing wasted, everything put to use.
Every hour of it. The coaches built this room so anyone could walk in off the street and feel like they belong — the same welcome for a nervous first-timer as for a seasoned competitor.

Kids classes run twice a week on a fixed pair of days. Mini Grapplers is the 4:30pm session, Little Grapplers the 5:30pm one, and we recommend children attend both days of whichever class they are in. Children are allocated to a class by age, size and ability, so contact Yvonne on 085 123 4539 before the first session — spaces are limited and classes may be full.

Times may shift around competitions — message us to confirm before your first visit.

Unlimitedtraining

One flat membership covers every class on the timetable — Gi, NoGi, wrestling and Saturday open mat. Train once a week or every day, it’s the same.

There isn’t a single published price, because there isn’t a single member. Students, families with more than one child on the mat, people training six days a week — tell us your situation and we’ll sort something that works.
